Burger King Spikes On Buyout Rumor

According to The Wall Street Journal, hamburger chain Burger King Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BKC) has been in talks with private-equity firms in recent weeks about a possible sale.  The newspaper reported that the status of the talks is unclear but one interested firm was 3i Group PLC, a British private-equity firm. It's uncertain whether these discussions will result in a sale. Shares of Burger King surged as much as 19% in pre-market trading.
