Shares of Microvision (NASDAQ: MVIS) soared more than 18% on Friday after Endgadget reported that Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) new patent application suggests that the company may develop a projector-equipped laptop. The new projector, which could be laser-based, cheaper, and more power efficient, may be integrated into other devices. Microvision, Inc. engages in the development of miniature display and imaging engines based on its proprietary PicoP display engine platform in the United States. Its technology platform uses two dimensional micro-electrical mechanical system, lasers, optics, and electronics to create a video or still image from a small form factor device. Stay tuned for more.
