Stocks In Focus: TIVO CEPH, SPPI, THC


TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO) jumped more than 14% in Monday's pre-market trading after Dish Network (NASDAQ: DISH) and EchoStar Corp (NASDAQ: SATS) agreed to pay TiVo Inc $500 million to settle a patent infringement lawsuit involving TiVo's video recording technology, putting an end to a long and costly legal battle.

Cephalon Inc. (NASDAQ: CEPH) rallied more than 5% after it agreed to be acquired by Israeli drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: TEVA) for $6.8 billion, or $81.50 a share. 

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: SPPI) surged more than 8% in Monday's pre-market trading after the company announced that U.S. regulators on Friday approved its drug for advanced colorectal cancer.

Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC) slumped more than 6% after Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CYH) announced that it has raised its all-cash offer to acquire all outstanding shares of common stock of the company  to $7.25 per share from $6.00 per share.
