Constellation Brands (NYSE: STZ) said that it swung to a fiscal fourth quarter swung to a profit of $279.8 million, or $1.32 per share, from a loss of $51 million, or 23 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company earned 35 cents per share. Revenue edged up 1 percent to $715.3 million. Analysts, on average, expected the company to report earnings of $0.26 per share on revenue of $731.54 million.
Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE: RAD) reported Thursday that its fiscal fourth-quarter loss narrowed to $208 million, or 24 cents a share, from a loss of $210.6 million, or 24 cents a share, in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue was flat at $6.5 billion. Analysts on average, had expected a loss of 24 cents a share on revenue of $6.4 billion.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) reported late Wednesday that its fourth quarter earnings climbed to $283 million, or $1.12 a share, from $226 million, or 86 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue increased $2.5 billion from $2.24 billion. Analysts, on average, had expected the company report earnings of 97 cents a share on $2.39 billion in sales.
Immucor Inc. (NASDAQ: BLUD) reported late Wednesday that its fiscal third-quarter net income climbed 13% to $22.7 million, or 32 cents a share, from $20.1 million, or 28 cents, in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue grew 4% to $83.3 million from $80.5 million. Analysts, on average, had expected the company to report earnings of 27 cents a share on revenue of $79.8 million.
